Victor L. Johnston has been a partner at Johnston Kelley and Company, and its predecessors, since 1981. Victor has extensive knowledge in tax planning and preparation, estate planning, business valuations, forensic accounting, financial statements, and business succession planning. Victor is a qualified expert witness in business valuation, bankruptcy, loss profits, income tax, estate tax, and other commercial damage matters in Stanislaus, Merced, San Joaquin, and Fresno counties.
Victor was born in Inglewood, California and was raised in Merced County, California. He received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from San Jose State University in 1976. Victor graduated with Great Distinction and Honors; he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Sigma Gamma. Victor began his career in 1976 as a staff accountant at the national accounting firm of Witte & Company in San Francisco. He gained valuable experience in auditing and preparation of financial statements. He was promoted to senior accountant, and ultimately supervisor before his departure in 1979. Victor relocated to Modesto in 1979 and worked for Bertozzi & Company from 1979 to 1981. He became a partner in Johnston Kelley & Company’s predecessors in 1981. He established Johnston Kelley & Company with Christopher Kelley in 1989.
Victor has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1979. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
