Christopher D. Kelley has been a partner at Johnston Kelley & Company since 1989. Chris has extensive knowledge in the areas of tax planning, tax preparation, financial statements, estate planning and business succession planning. He also has experience and expertise in the areas of forensic accounting, business valuation and litigation support including work as an expert witness in various business litigation cases.

Chris was born in Denver, Colorado and was raised in Northern California. He received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Sacramento in 1983. He began his accounting career in private industry as a staff accountant for Down River Forest Products, where he obtained extensive knowledge of cost and managerial accounting. After working in private industry, he made a change to begin working in the CPA profession. Chris joined Johnston Kelley & Company's predecessors in 1985. He established Johnston Kelley & Company with Victor Johnston in 1989.

Chris is both a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Management Accountants.
